5 Awesome Virtual Reality Games for Kids

5 Awesome Virtual Reality Games for Kids

Virtual reality can be an amazing and immersive way to bring your kids closer to their favorite characters and stories, but finding the right games can be difficult. With so many virtual reality games out there, it’s hard to know which ones are appropriate for young children and which ones aren’t. Fortunately, these five VR games are all awesome options, whether you want something that helps you bond with your child or if you just want to see what all the fuss is about!

1) Gumi No Yume

Gumi No Yume is a virtual reality game that you can experience with only your head. This interactive VR game is designed to take you on an incredible journey through multiple worlds. There are a variety of different stages and bosses as well, so there’s plenty of gameplay in Gumi No Yume. The graphics are pretty good and have 3D animations. You can unlock special weapons as well that make it easier to defeat enemies along your way. It’s one of those games where if you die you get right back into it rather than starting all over again. Overall, Gumi No Yume is a high-quality entry into the gaming world. It costs $9.99 which seems like a lot but when you look at what else is out there for kids on VR systems I think it’s worth every penny!

2) InMind VR

InMind VR is science fiction, a third-person perspective game with an active approach. The gameplay is focused on exploring locations in virtual reality using motion controllers to interact with objects and solve puzzles. The goal of InMind VR is to travel into patients’ brains and find out what’s wrong with them by fixing neural connections to restore functionality. You will be guided step by step through different levels that feature unique puzzles and challenges.

3) Roller Coaster VR

Roller Coaster VR takes gaming to a new level with real-time music and plenty of thrills With real-time music and plenty of thrills, Roller Coaster VR takes gaming to a new level. It’s like actually being on a roller coaster—but without any of that messy barfing. It’s just $1.99 in the Google Play store, making it one of our favorite affordable games. And don’t worry—it’s safe to play while wearing your glasses!

4) VR Karts Sprint

PlayStation VR, Sony’s entry into modern virtual reality technology, is coming out with a wave of games that are designed to appeal to kids and families. The first of these games is VR Karts Sprint, which puts players in a futuristic go-kart with their friends (up to four can play at once). With just one move—steering—players don’t need to spend hours mastering button combinations or learning complex new movements. Instead, they can focus on enjoying the game.

5) Job Simulator

An ideal starting point for VR newcomers, Job Simulator tasks you with completing various jobs using your hands. The most interesting part about Job Simulator is that it offers several mini-games; so if you tire of folding paper towels, taking orders, or chopping vegetables, you can always play one of Job Simulator’s other scenes. If virtual reality games are going to work on a mass scale, they’ll need to be as engaging and accessible as Job Simulator—so keep an eye on Owlchemy Labs, which is set to release updates for Job Simulator every few months. (Owlchemy Labs has also developed Vacation Simulator and Rick & Morty: Virtual Rick-Ality.)

Precautions Parents should take for VR gaming

VR gaming can be a wonderful experience, scientists are suggesting, VR experience can be overwhelming too. Safety of kids is one aspect which parents have to take care of. Once the goggles are on kids should orient themselves with the room. Kids should not be allowed to play games for long sessions.
